Help Catch The Long Island Serial Killer

Help catch the Long Island serial killer (also called the Suffolk County serial killer).

In the past four years, women working in Long Island's sex industry have been the target of a vicious serial killer.

In December 2010, police found the remains of four women on a beach on Long Island. All four were sex workers who advertised their services on Craigslist. In March and April 2011, police found more remains that could very likely be the work of the same killer.

Police are asking anyone involved in the industry to come forward with information about the case, but a spokesman made it clear that sex workers still face the risk of arrest if they "have been caught offering to have sex with a member of law enforcement or soliciting sex for money".

Suffolk County needs to prioritize the safety of sex workers. That's why we are calling on Police Commissioner Richard Dormer to grant immunity to sex workers who provide information about the case.

Sign the petition and tell Commissioner Dormer to grant immunity to sex workers.
Dear Police Commissioner Dormer,

I am writing to urge you to offer immunity to sex workers that provide information about the serial killer targeting women in their profession.

Sex workers are far less likely to come forward with valuable evidence if they are afraid of arrest.

I respectfully ask that you prioritize the safety of sex workers in your investigation.

Sincerely,
