Bill pending in the Montana Legislature to allow non-residents to vote on issues that may affect their property taxes

Senator Jedediah Hinkle is sponsoring a bill to allow property owners who are not necessarily registered to vote in a district where an election for a mill levy (property tax increase) is being held. Our premise is that an individual should NOT BE TAXED without that person having a say by voting yes or no on the issue. This is a basic principle inherent in the creation of our U.S Constitution that we believe is as applicable today as it was in the 1700's.

Your support of this bill is critical to its passage. This petition will be presented by me at the Committee hearing in Helena.
