Sign our pledge to make life more inclusive for disabled people

Right now, disabled people face too many barriers to being able to participate in everyday life.

From physical barriers, such as inaccessible transport and venues, to communication barriers, preventing an individual from being heard and understood.

The greatest barrier, though, is public attitudes. Stigma, stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination are challenges disabled people face every day.

Sense want to break down the barriers disabled people face and are calling on your support.

Sign our pledge today to say that you will stand with Sense – the national disability charity – and disabled people across the UK – as we seek to:

  • Break down communication barriers – that can lead to loneliness and isolation for disabled people.

  • Break down physical barriers – that can stop disabled people for taking part in life – everything from inaccessible shops without wheelchair ramps to signs that people with visual impairments can't read.

  • Break down social barriers – the stereotypes and assumptions about what a disabled person can or can't do – the things that can hold them back from realising their full potential in life.
