People of Durham Region: Demand a STOP to this Unfair Pressure on YOUR Paramedics!

  • by: Tim Calvert

Durham paramedics are among some 1,600 inside workers who have been on strike since June 19 over sick-time provisions for paramedics.

Paramedics are your support when a family member is ill or injured. They are ready at your service 24/7 & always strive to give the best professional care. Now these brave frontline lifesavers are in need of your help to protect the health and welfare of you and your family members. Tell the Durham Region Mayor and Council that they must put a stop to unfair pressure on paramedics -- on workers who provide an essential service to maintain the health and welfare of the community.

People who are not union members are trying to force paramedics who are wonderful caregivers & lifesavers to work while they are ill. It is imperative that Durham Region pay for the first three days of their sick leave.

Contact your mayor and government officials and tell them that you are concerned about your family's health and safety and that you support Durham paramedics' right to paid sick leave.
