Congress: Pass the Women's Health Protection Act of 2013

Conservative states continue to pass laws supposedly in the name of "improving women's health" that really just restrict their access to abortions. In order to stop this from occurring, Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal has introduced the Women's Health Protection Act of 2013.

If passed, the proposed legislation will prevent states from passing laws that specifically target abortion providers, or that block access to abortions without first proving that they actually have a beneficial impact on women's health. The bill is an important step in protecting reproductive rights in the United States.
