Tell Vietnam: Stop the slaughter of lions

With tigers in Asia becoming scarcer in the wild, there's a new target in sight: African lions.

As tiger populations plummet, poachers are now targeting lions. To satisfy demand in Vietnam, China, and Southeast Asia, lions are killed for their claws, teeth, and bones... to be turned into jewelry, medicine, and even wine.

In a horrific incident last November, Vietnamese poachers killed 40 lions in 48 hours.

The situation shows no sign of improving. During the past five years alone, about 150 lion claws and teeth have been exported from South Africa to China and Vietnam according to CITIES — and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

The answer is clear: Vietnam MUST enforce wildlife laws to stop the lion bone trade, and renounce the use of lions' bones in traditional medicine and wine.

Together, we will fight tooth and claw to protect these majestic creatures. We need thousands of wildlife advocates to sign our petition now — will your name be on it?
