Tell the Media: We care about clean water and we vote!

The current water crisis in Flint, Michigan, has brought national attention to clean water issues, but it is not the only place in the country with polluted water.

Even after 25 years of public and private efforts from groups including the Maryland League of Conservation Voters, Marylanders and our neighbors around the Chesapeake still do not have the clean water and fishable rivers and streams we deserve. Now is the time to end water pollution in the Chesapeake!

More than 60% of Marylanders agree that water pollution in the Chesapeake Bay and watershed is the biggest environmental issue facing their state. But in the run-up to the Maryland primary election the media isn’t asking politicians about these crucial issues.

Tell the media to ask political candidates tough questions about how they will bring clean water to Marylanders. Now is the time for water pollution in our state to get the attention it deserves!
