University of Gothenburg: Please, please, PLEASE Save the Labradors Lotus, Mimosa, Luna, Venus, Milia and Zuri!

Hi,
I have heard about the plight of six Labrador dogs, Lotus, Mimosa, Luna, Venus, Milia and Zuri, at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. They were used as part of a dental experiment at the university, for which they have had some of their teeth pulled out and dentures implanted to test the efficacy of dentures. The university plan on killing them at the end of February 2019, even though homes have been offered for them, more than 80,000 people have already signed a petition to try to get the university not to kill them and kids have sent in drawings of dogs trying to get them not to kill them. Some at the university may try to defend this by saying that the experiment and the next procedure cannot be done on living animals, and that this is necessary for human dental health, but sentient nonhumans have almost, if not just, as much right to exist and lead the best lives/un-lives possible as humans. Also, humans can already have dentures, and the dentists will try their best for the dental wellbeing of all, why do we need more research? Also, couldn't any necessary research be done using alternatives to animal cruelty and killing, such as fake models of teeth, computer simulation, much-loved companion animals who have had dentures that have already died, human volunteers and humans who have had dentures that have already died?
There is also an idea that the results from animal experiments, testing and "research" are irrelevant, misleading and dangerous for humans, due to the biological differences between humans and nonhuman animals. How would you like to be responsible for human suffering, child suffering, maybe, due to irrelevant, misleading and dangerous results of this experimentation?
Please, please, please, please, please listen to me, the signers of this petition, the 80,000+ other signers, those who have contacted you about this and all those poor children that have sent in drawings that would be very upset if you kill the dogs. Please, please, please, PLEASE save these poor dogs and stop all testing, research and experiments on sentient animals.
I will not let you kill them unnecessarily, if I can help it. I will keep on contacting you, kindly asking that you adopt out to the best homes possible. You could even charge an adoption fee and use that to contribute to further ethical research, ethical education, salaries, ethical accommodation and/or any other ethical projects/costs for the university. Please, please, please, please, please, PLEASE save these poor dogs, adopt them out to the best homes possible and don't use animals in experiments/testing/"research" again!
Thank you to the moon and back for us and for the animals!
Best Wishes to all,
Rory.
Have the best day and night ever!
