Tell Congress: Scott Pruitt is failing as EPA Administrator
The Trump administration has jeopardized the integrity of the Environmental Protection Agency, cutting crucial safeguards that protect our communities and our children from air pollution and climate change. Standing at the helm of this sinking ship is EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. It's time he was relieved of this command.
He's had a year now to get his act together and stand up for our children's health — instead, he has protected polluters. He has actively silenced scientists who advise the agency. He's worked to unravel the Clean Power Plan, which cuts dangerous pollution from power plants while safeguarding our children's future in the face of climate change. He has delayed pollution standards for the fracking industry. And he is rolling back tailpipe emission standards for cars.
Our representatives must hold the President accountable to removing officials from office that aren't serving the American people. Tell Congress: we deserve an EPA administrator who will work to protect our families — that person is not Scott Pruitt.

As a parent, I am deeply concerned by Scott Pruitt's leadership as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. He has demonstrated time and time again that he will put the interests of polluting industries ahead of those of American families.
Scott Pruitt is actively silencing scientists within the EPA, preventing well-qualified academics from serving on key advisory boards, and replacing them with industry-funded scientists.
Before Pruitt even stepped into the role of Administrator, he was already working to dismantle the EPA. This is a man that sued the EPA 14 times on behalf of the oil and gas industry. And he continues to cut important protections including carbon dioxide limits for power plants, preventing methane leaks from natural gas operations, and fuel efficiency standards for cars all in order to benefit his fossil fuel industry allies.
Pruitt's intention is not to protect our children. It is to cripple the agency, and take zealous aim at every single health protection passed in the last eight years. This is not the person who should hold the office of top environmental enforcement official.
Congress must hold the President accountable to removing officials from office that aren't serving the American people. Therefore, for the sake of our children, we are calling for the removal of Scott Pruitt as EPA Administrator.
