Tell Your Elected Leaders: Rise for Charleston
- by: Everytown
- recipient: Your Governor and Member of Congress
Last week, nine members of a black church were gunned down during a prayer meeting in Charleston, SC. The shooter was a man fueled by racism who had no trouble getting a gun.
As a nation, we are standing up and turning our grief into action. It's time to pass laws to keep guns away from dangerous people and prevent acts of terror like this one. We are #RisingForCharleston and demanding our elected leaders do the same.
Please use the form on this page to sign a Rising for Charleston postcard to your governor and your members of Congress. Everytown will deliver them on your behalf in the coming weeks.
To All Governors and Members of Congress:
One June 17, nine black people were shot and killed by a white supremacist during Bible study at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
That's why we're #RisingForCharleston and the 88 people killed and hundreds injured by gun violence every day in this country.
America needs your leadership. Will you rise, too?
