Republicans Must Stand Up for Human Rights and Tell The Truth About North Korea

Kim Jong-Un is a "tough guy," "a smart guy," "a great negotiator," declared Donald Trump when questioned by Fox News's Bret Baier about why Trump was not concerned about the dictator's human rights record.

Taken aback, Baier replied that Kim is "a killer. He's executing people." To which Trump responded, "He's a tough guy," and "A lot of other people have done some really bad things." And he continued to praise the North Korean leader as a "very talented man," "wants to do the right thing," "loves his people."

Thus Trump legitimized a regime that terrorizes its people, conducts public executions and keeps over 200,000 of its citizens in gulags.

Yet when then-Senator Obama in 2007 said that he would be willing to meet leaders of repressive regimes, including North Korea's, his presidential opponent John McCain and numerous other Republicans mocked him for his inexperience and reckless judgement.

What hypocrisy that Trump is now being praised for sitting down with the most notorious dictator in the world.

Please sign this petition demanding that Republicans stop the hypocrisy. They must stop praising Trump and speak up about North Korea.
