Increase funding for global aid towards global pandemics and react more hastily towards the threat of global pandemics

I, among many others, are concerned for the health of myself and others around me. The WHO and CDC are doing a great job, yet still I, and others, feel insecure against the diseases that are appearing. We demand that these organizations act with greater haste for the safety and relief of the common man's fear of acquiring an unknown and potentially deadly disease.

Every year, about 200,000 Americans are hospitalized with the flu, and anywhere from 3,000 to 49,000 Americans die from the flue in this same time frame. While there is no cure for the flu, there is no real reason why this many must suffer from a pandemic before anything is done. Keep in mind, this is just in the U.S. Why not react sooner? While there is a lot involved with doing something to contain a disease, there is no reason why they cannot do some things that are not as large, like small quarantines of infected peoples.

We need to feel safe. How can the leaders of countries say that what they do is to keep us safe, yet these diseases are allowed to spread and fester among us.
