Tell EPA: Finalize Strong Methane Regulations

EPA has proposed rules that will cut methane and other harmful air pollutants from new and existing oil and gas operations. This is an important step toward addressing the health and climate impacts caused from methane pollution.

Administrator Regan needs to hear from as many parents as possible. Tell EPA to finalize the strongest and most comprehensive methane rules to protect children's health from all sources of oil and gas methane pollution.
As a parent and member of Moms Clean Air Force, I'm deeply concerned with the health impacts of air pollution and climate change. That's why I was encouraged to learn that the EPA has proposed rules to cut methane and other harmful air pollutants from new and existing oil and gas operations.

This is an important first step to address the impacts of methane pollution. That's why I urge you to ensure that these rules are strong and comprehensive. They must cover all sources of oil and gas operations including smaller, leak-prone wells and limit routine flaring, both of which are outsized sources of methane emissions. Quickly and significantly reducing methane pollution is one of the best levers we have to slow the rate of climate change now, and it will help clean up the air to protect children's health.

Federal methane rules will establish vital protections for all children across the nation, especially for states that have failed to enact meaningful oil and gas methane protections at the state level.

Please ensure that the EPA passes comprehensive methane rules to protect our children's health and future.
