The owner of a Connecticut house of horrors, where
dozens of dogs were found suffering in horrendous conditions, is in the process of trying to get these poor animals back!
We cannot let this happen.
If he gets these dogs back, only more pain and suffering await them.We must demand prosecutors make sentencing recommendations that would include banning this man from ever getting custody of these dogs, or any animals in the future.
Sign the petition if you agree! Once you hear
what exactly happened in this house, you'll agree that this perpetrator cannot be trusted with the innocent lives of dogs.
His home, which originally housed 33 dogs, was
infested with rats and fleas. The fleas, which cause intense skin irritation and can even lead to anemia and other diseases, were eating these poor dogs alive.
In some cases, the
dogs were suffering from open wounds. Other dogs had gone blind. Animal control officers determined that many of the dogs' ailments were directly caused by the deplorable, unsanitary conditions their owner was subjecting them to.
On top of all this, it was clear the dogs were not getting the proper medical attention they needed! And yet, this man had the audacity to go in front of a judge and
ask for 22 of these dogs back. This would be a death sentence for these animals, plain and simple. And we won't allow that.
The man still faces over 20 charges of animal cruelty. If he is found guilty, it would make the most sense to include a ban on animal ownership in his sentencing. That way, he can never endanger another animal's life again -- including the dogs he's currently after.
Sign the petition to get justice for these poor animals, and to keep them safe from their abuser!
