Tell Congress to Commit to Restoring Puerto Rico's Energy Grid Ahead of 2018 Hurricane Season!

This month Puerto Rico experienced an island-wide extended black out which left more than 3.3 Americans without electricity, something which has not happened since the original destruction of Puerto Rico's power grid last September thanks to Hurricane Maria.

Even though the majority of the island has semi-reliable power now, thousands remain without to this day. And with the 2018 hurricane season not far away, many Puerto Ricans are worried that they will soon be left at the mercy of new storms.

President Trump and Congress have been reluctant to commit to providing the island with the resources needed for restoration of the power infrastructure in a timely manner. This is simply unacceptable and is wholly shameful.

Tell Congress that it is high time that a bill were drafted and passed that provides Puerto Rico with the funding it needs in order to return to the 21st Century by adding your name to this petition! Together we can make our voices heard and justice for our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico can be achieved.
