Ban Puppy Mills in Chicago!

We the students of Mrs. Martinsen’s Fourth Grade Class want to join the effort in saving animals. Let’s start in Chicago, where we have seen many homeless pets in shelters.

Puppy mills are adding to this problem by producing more puppies that need homes and providing unlivable conditions for these animals. Pet stores should not be allowed to give money to puppy mills, especially when there are thousands of animals being killed every day in shelters because there is no room for them. To help save these animals, puppy mills should be banned!

We want to work together to make the public aware of the harsh conditions dogs face in puppy mills. Many pet stores buy their dogs from puppy mills, which is supporting their business.

As we continue to learn more about the suffering animals go through every day, it breaks our hearts and we want to do whatever we can to stop it! Please, let's work together to ban puppy mills in Chicago to save the animals of this city and our world!
To whom it may concern:

We are writing this letter to try and make a difference in the lives of animals. We want to change the world, and make it a better place for animals to live in. In order to do that, we think it is important to start in the city of Chicago, which is where we live.

A lot of us have seen homeless cats and dogs, and some of us have adopted our pets from animal shelters. As we continue to research about animal shelters and puppy mills, we are learning the importance of adopting animals rather than buying animals from a pet store. One reason is that often pet stores purchase their puppies from puppy mills. Puppy mills are very scary and animals are treated very badly there. Often the animals do not have enough food, water, space to live, or medical attention. No living thing should have to go through this kind of suffering.

Pet stores should not be allowed to give money to puppy mills, especially when there are thousands of animals being killed every day in shelters because there is no room for them. To help save these animals, puppy mills should be banned! We want to work together to make the public aware of the harsh conditions dogs face in puppy mills. As we continue to learn more about the suffering animals go through every day, it breaks our hearts and we want to do whatever we can to stop it! Please, let's work together to ban puppy mills in Chicago to save the animals of this city and our world!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Martinsen’s Fourth Grade Class
