Put a stop to Pavement Perils!

"I find it immensely frustrating when a car blocks my way by parking on the pavement, especially if it forces me and my guide dog Breck into the road to compete with passing traffic. This is inconvenient and dangerous for pedestrians like myself. If you agree action is needed then please join me in campaigning for a solution." John, Guide Dog Owner

Earlier this year two MPs chose to put forward bills to tackle pavement parking in England, Wales and Scotland after thousands of people contacted their local MPs about the issue. This is a fantastic step forward for Guide Dogs' campaign to tackle the dangerous practice of pavement parking but more still needs to be done!

Pavement parking is a problem for all pedestrians, not just those with sight loss but also for the elderly, parents with push chairs, and wheelchair users to name but a few. Earlier this year a survey showed even 80% of councillors supported the introduction of UK wide laws on this issue.

Please sign our petition and ask Transport Minister Robert Goodwill to support these two bills as they progress through Parliament.
Dear Mr Goodwill MP,

Pavement Parking is a huge problem across the UK which puts guide dog owners and many other pedestrians in danger every day.

Please give your support to Martin Horwood MP's Pavement Parking Bill and Mark Lazarowicz MP's Responsible Parking (Scotland) Bill as they progress through Parliament.
