Mills Wyoming police officer leaves K9 partner locked in hot patrol car resulting in dog's death.

On July 9 Mills Wyoming police officer left his beloved K9, a female black lab named Nyx, in his hot police car for over 6 hours resulting in her death. Officer Zachary Miller left the police car running with no air conditioning on and the windows rolled up in 86 degree temperatures. The department does allow K9's in the police station. Officer Miller should be held accountable for his K9 partner's death. The department needs to implement stricter policy on K9 care. This officer's actions are inexcusable!
