6,700 mail-in ballots in Nevada. 18,500 mail-in ballots in Florida. Tens of thousands in Pennsylvania. These were the votes that went uncounted during this year's primary elections. In a critical election year, we need to fight for every last vote.
This is unacceptable. It's not enough to allow vote-by-mail. We need to fight to ensure that every single vote is counted.
Ballots can be rejected in some states because of errors like forgetting to sign the form or sending in the ballot too late.
Yet, ballots thrown out due to these "errors" come disproportionately from Black and Latino communities.
