Did you know that worldwide, we are losing 18.7M acres of forests annually? That's 27 soccer fields every minute. However, the frightening truth is we can't live without these forests.

Forests are the source of the air we breathe and water we drink. They provide a home for most wildlife and are critical to our planet's biodiversity. And they provide one of our primary defenses against climate change.

As one of the world's largest carbon sinks, forests absorb and store billions of tonnes of climate-torching carbon dioxide each year. That's why protecting and restoring our forests is one of the most important and effective ways to ensure the long-term health of life on the planet and for its inhabitants.

At American Forests, our goal is to inspire and advance the conservation of forests and we're working to plant 3 million trees in 2018. But we can't do it without the support of passionate people like you.
