Congress: Don't Let Political Bickering Stop Groundbreaking Vision Research

Living and learning to cope with low vision can be very difficult. Anyone who has struggled with glaucoma, macular degeneration, or other vision impairments knows just how frustrating and difficult it can make life.

Visual impairment doesn't have to mean an end to a happy and full life, though, especially as scientists research and develop groundbreaking treatments and cures that are changing lives for the better every day.

But over the next few months, Congress will be debating a new round of budget cuts that could put funding for scientific research on the chopping block.

The lack of dependable funding for research could irrevocably set back treatments and cures that would help our loved ones live full and happy lives.

It's time Congress stopped letting politics get in the way of solving very real problems.

Send your representative a message today: Don't let political bickering hurt our nation's health!
Dear Representative:

Living and learning to cope with low vision can be very difficult. Anyone who has struggled with impaired vision, or watched a loved one struggle, knows just how frustrating and difficult it can make life.

Right now scientists are researching and developing groundbreaking treatments and cures for glaucoma, macular degeneration, or other vision impairments that are changing lives for the better every day. But a lack of dependable funding for research could irrevocably set back treatments and cures that would help our loved ones live full and happy lives.

It's time to set politics aside in the name of promoting scientific research for treatments and a cure for these very real diseases.

Please, fully support funding for scientific research developing innovative cures for impaired vision and beyond.

Sincerely,
