Discrimination Against Our Native American Brothers Imprisioned Needs to be Stopped Now!
This petition has been created for the rights of practicing religious beliefs of the imprisoned Native Americans who are incarcerated at Hutchinson Correctional Facility. This facility has a Muslim Chaplin whom is not properly attending to the needs of the Native American prisoners there. The prisoners are 'forced' to pay for the rock sweats or to go without. A drum was desecrated by an officer pouring chemicals on it, which destroyed it. They have not been allowed proper food for their Pow-Wows for ANY reason. We need to look at the way Native American prisoners are being treated behind bars. Other prisoners with different beliefs are allowed to practice without any problems. Our Native American Brothers need our help. We have tried repeatedly to contact the facility by telephone {leaving messages} and we have gotten NO reply. These Native American Brothers of ours may be imprisoned but they are United States American Citizens with the same legal rights that are entitled to these rights! Where is the United States of America justice here? Do only certain religious denominations get to be treated fairly behind bars? Our Native American Brothers do need our help. We urge the criminal justice system to hear our protests in support of our people!
