Preserve Our Golden Gate National Parks For Future Generations

Muir Woods. Crissy Field. Alcatraz. The Marin Headlands. Stinson Beach. Lands End. The Presidio. These are just a few of the 37 iconic and spectacular parks that make up the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) – often known as the "Golden Gate National Parks."

More than 19 million people – local residents and world travelers alike – flock to these parks each year. That's more than the visitation to Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, and Olympic National Parks combined!

And, people aren't the only ones who love these spectacular landscapes. As a UNESCO "biodiversity hotspot" the parks are home to nearly 53 species of mammals, 250 species of birds, 20 species of reptiles, 11 species of amphibians, and a diverse array of plant species.

Only one nonprofit organization supports all of the parks – The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. We are dedicated to protecting these special places, making them relevant and accessible for all communities, and instilling a sense of stewardship in this and future generations to ensure their vitality forever. But we can't do it without the support of passionate people like you who also treasure our parks.
