Nestlé. Start with just one change. Remove palm oil from chocolates.

Nestlé are always receiving bad press regarding their palm oil sourcing. All chocolates manufactured by Nestlé Australasia use fully certified RSPO supply, however there are genuine concerns from Nestlé itself and from experts about the current efficacy of such certifications and more needs to be done. So, we are calling on the company to provide some further pressure for change on the palm oil industry by ditching palm oil from their chocolates to send a clear message that more needs to be done.

Here's an opportunity for Nestlé Australasia to gain positive press and lead the way for other brands to follow!

Globally Nestlé uses 460,000 tonnes of palm oil every year and we are calling on that volume to be reduced. Chocolate is one product where palm oil can easily be removed.

By removing palm oil from Nestlé chocolate lines including cooking buttons and professional manufacturing supply, it would also result in other brands owned by Nestlé using chocolate such as Uncle Toby's to become palm oil free as well as external manufacturers purchasing Nestlé chocolate for their own brand products.

Come on Nestlé. Make a positive change and start with just one thing to help save the disappearing rainforests and critically endangered species who reside within.
