PINELLAS COUNTY FREE SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM

For Pinellas County residents Only. PROBLEM: The number one cause of death for Cats & Dogs in America is pet overpopulation. In Pinellas County, over 22,000 animals were killed last year because there were not enough homes for them. We spent $3.7 million in tax money trying to manage the problem. SOLUTION: A Free Spay/Neuter Program for all Pinellas County residents regardless of income. This program can be funded by the licensing of cats & dogs, permits, vaccination fees and fines. Not tax dollars. A cat or dog that is spayed or neutered is less likely to spray, roam, have many litters, get hit by a car, bite, be aggressive, or a public nuisance.
