Help keep Dr. Curtis Latham at Superstore drop-in, he is being ousted out like yesterdays news. They want him out by the end of August, so please help keep Dr. Lathem at the drop-in.

It is with great concern and optimism that I write this letter to support Dr. Latham's stay at the drop-in clinic in Superstore, Campbell River. He is being ousted out like yesterday's news, there have been reactions by some who knows him and his value at his usual position. This letter is premised on Dr. Latham's continued relevance as a reason why he should be allowed to remain at the drop-in clinic.

One of the reasons why he is being ousted out is because Dr. Latham is semi-retired and working only two days a week. However, because he has been around for a very long time, many clients still see him as a very relevant entity in the clinic. In fact, many would not allow any other doctor to attend to them because of the previous interventions of Dr. Latham that they have enjoyed. Dr. Latham also works at the Quadra Island Medical Clinic. He is well-liked at the Campbell River Hospital and the community alike. I find it very imperative to mention that Dr. Latham is one of the few doctors that truly care about their patients and show it in ways highly appreciated by the patients.

Dr. Latham stands out in many ways. From showing compassion and empathy, displaying in-depth knowledge of the practice, showing the ability to get to the root of patients' problems at all times to going above and beyond to help patients ease their pain, he is truly an exceptional person. I will be remiss not to mention that Dr. Latham's feedbacks from patients till date identify him as an outstanding, passionate, and committed caregiver.

Recognizing the need to make patient care the priority here, it is important that patients' concern is considered first. Also, since Dr. Latham is, for the most part, more knowledgeable, compassionate, and represents the hospital better, I believe that he should be allowed to remain at the drop-in clinic at Superstore in Campbell River, BC.  I speak also for all the doctors that spent their whole life being caregivers to their patients.

In my opinion, any decision to oust Dr. Latham is as a result of a bully attitude and should not be reckoned with. If Dr. Latham's service to the patients is counted for any reason, then he deserves to remain in the position where his patients can have access to the quality health care services that he provides.

Based on the foregoing, I humbly ask that the BC Medical Board allow Dr. Latham to remain at the drop-in clinic. I am fully persuaded that, as a medical practitioner, he will continue to be of immense help to his patients.

Thank you for your consideration.
