Robin Williams: You Will Be Missed

On August 11, 2014, people around the world were stunned by the tragic news that Robin Williams had committed suicide.

Please join us in mourning this immense loss, and celebrating the ways that Robin Williams impacted us all.

Robin Williams was a beloved comedian, actor, and philanthropist. His performances touched every element of the human spirit, delighting us with creative comedic performances to thought-provoking dramatic roles.

We'll never forget his iconic and touching roles -- as a poetry teacher who taught many of us the meaning of Carpe Diem; a dad pretending to be a nanny just to see his children; even an alien coming to earth to observe human behavior.

And Robin Williams gave us more than a good show: he devoted much of his energy to charity work. He organized comedians to perform for charity and raised awareness for earthquake disaster and medical research for childhood illnesses.

Robin Williams also suffered from depression and addiction. He died in an apparent suicide by hanging.

Please join us in remembering Robin Williams. Share your fondest memories of Robin Williams in the comments -- your name will be added to a card thanking suicide hotline volunteers.
