Tell President Trump: We can't wave the white flag of surrender in the global fight against AIDS

Despite 15 years of strong, bipartisan American leadership and incredible progress in the global fight against AIDS, the Trump Administration appears ready to trade the iconic red ribbon for the white flag of surrender.

President Trump's proposed cuts to HIV/AIDS-fighting programs would limit the number of people added to treatment each year by a third and could trigger a resurgence of the epidemic around the world.

It is critical that Congress and the White House not squander the progress that it has made possible, and continue to fully fund America's irreplaceable leadership in the fight against AIDS.

Tell President Trump not to wave the white flag of surrender.
Dear President Trump,

America's leadership in the global fight against AIDS has been without parallel in history and has saved millions of lives. In your FY 2019 budget proposal, please restore funding for PEPFAR and the Global Fund to 2017 levels so that PEPFAR can continue adding people to treatment everywhere it operates. Be the president that ensures we lead the fight, not that waves the white flag of surrender.

Sincerely,
[your name]
