People Are Making Videos of Themselves Stomping on Animals for Sexual Pleasure

If you've never heard of a "crush video" consider yourself lucky. However, it's probably time that you do learn about this horrible trend, because it exists and innocent animals are dying because of it.

Crush videos show people videotaping themselves crushing, boiling, ripping apart or otherwise killing small animals for their own sexual pleasure and pleasure of their viewers. It's a vile new low in animal cruelty.

Animal cruelty is, of course, already illegal, but such depravity deserves a special type of legislation to ensure the people responsible for these types of videos are held accountable with punishments far more severe than what other animal abusers would receive.

That's why several politicians including Rep. Ted Deutch (D-West Boca) and Vern Buchanan (R-Sarasota) have reintroduced the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act. Under the proposed legislation , those who participate in the "crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating and impaling animals" could earn themselves up to seven years in federal prison. The bill also targets those who sexually exploit animals.

It's hard to believe that people would do this type of thing, but it does exist and those responsible need to be caught and punished.
