Keep the Photography Program Alive at Gwinnett Technical College

Recently the President of Gwinnett Technical College, Dr. Glen Cannon, announced the termination of the Photography program. There was no indication it was coming, nor why it happened. It is our hope that with enough signatures the school board will reconsider the decision. This program is a wonderful program that has produced 100's of talented artists, many of whom are well known in their field.

Please sign the this petition to stand with us and save not only the Photography Program at Gwinnett Tech, but to help remind people how important the arts and creativity are to the world.

We are almost to 1000! Keep up the great work, and keep sharing! New information has come to light that this was the last act of the President, who then resigned and took an interim job at Georgia Perimeter Technical College. His intentions remain unknown. My greatest fear is that he will try to do away with the arts at all schools he touches. Please share this petition and help us show Gwinnett Technical College, Georgia, and the world that the arts DO matter and the arts DO change lives.

We reached over 100 people in 3 hours! Great work :) Keep sharing the post and getting those signatures. So many lives are affected by this decision, and so many future artist lives as well. We have to give a voice to the creative community and this program does that above and beyond expectation.
