Stand up for Medicaid

The people who depend on Medicaid are our friends and neighbors in small towns and big cities throughout Oregon. They wait tables, care for the elderly, grow produce for farmer's markets and care for our children and grandchildren. And like all of us, these vulnerable Oregonians need access to health care.

Nearly 1 in 4 Oregonians depend on Medicaid, including 400,000 kids. And they depend on us to support the program. We passed Measure 101 to fully fund Medicaid, but now the lawmakers will have to come up with more funding to keep the program whole in coming years. We supported Medicaid because it supports our friends and neighbors. It's time to let the lawmakers in Salem know how important Medicaid is to us.
