Stand for Millie and other St. Jude Patients Battling Childhood Cancer

Millie is always smiling. Her mom describes her as loving, caring and sassy.

While playing together one day, Millie’s dad found a lump on her left side that proved to be a type of kidney cancer called Wilms tumor. When their local children’s hospital discovered a spot on her lung as well, her pediatrician immediately referred her to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Her frightened family traveled to St. Jude for her treatment and care, which has included three surgeries, radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

This is where you come in. You can help support brave children like Millie.

“I don’t have to worry about Millie being unhappy while we’re here. She’s always happy,” says her mom. “You think if you’re in a hospital full of cancer patients, then it’s all gloomy, but it’s not. Kids run around the hallways laughing and smiling. What they do here is amazing.”

Help families, like Millie’s, when you sign up to support St. Jude. Your support can mean a world of difference for kids like Millie.

Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since the hospital opened more than 50 years ago.
