Please sign our petition urging Congress to pass the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training (PCHETA) Act.
Palliative and hospice care – with a focus on managing and easing symptoms, reducing pain and stress, and increasing comfort – can improve both quality of care and quality of life for those with dementia. Although the availability of palliative and hospice care is growing, the need is growing faster – and quality of care remains a concern.
If passed, PCHETA would establish palliative care and hospice workforce training programs, create a national education and awareness campaign to share the benefits of palliative care, and enhance research on improving the delivery of palliative care.
