Child homelessness is a national crisis. Pledge to protect children now.

In a country as wealthy as America, no child should be forced to sleep on the streets.

But every year, 1.5 million children across America experience homelessness, along with many more youth under the age of 24.This is absolutely shameful.

The experience of homelessness can derail a child's entire life — leading to malnutrition, disrupting education and even causing long-term trauma.

Even more horrific, a homeless child is the perfect target for craven sex traffickers, who seek out vulnerable and unprotected kids to peddle for sex and profit.

Covenant House is on the front lines of the fight to protect young people from homelessness. We run safe houses and shelters across thirty-one cities in the United States, as well as Canada and Latin America.

Recognizing that a bed isn't nearly enough to end homelessness, we also offer job training, educational support and mental health counseling. What's more, we advocate on the local, state and national levels for policies and legislation that protect every child from experiencing the terror of homelessness.

Right now, we reach nearly 80,000 children and young people every year. But the need is great, and we must grow our services to reach even more at-risk homeless youth.

If you believe that no child should ever spend a night on the streets, pledge now to support shelter and services for children and young people across our country.
