Ban Animal Acts Within the City of Buffalo

This petition urges the Common Council of the City of Buffalo to enact legislation banning the use of exotic animals in entertainment, specifically circuses.

To The Common Council of the City of Buffalo:

As the use of exotic animals such as lions, tigers, and elephants for the purpose of entertainment is inherently cruel; as the confinement of these animals is potentially dangerous not only to the animals but to the public as well; as the cruel training methods which utilize bullhooks, whips, and electric prods on the animals are morally reprehensible; we urgently request the Common Council to enact legislation that will prohibit the exploitation of these animals on public and private property in the City of Buffalo.
