Join the Fight for Equality and Democracy in Israel
Defacing images of women on billboards in downtown Jerusalem (as pictured here). Forcing women to sit in the back on some public bus lines. Banning female voices on certain public radio stations. These are just some tactics religious extremists use to exclude women from the public sphere.
Such treatment doesn't stop with women. Immigrants, refugees, and Arab citizens of Israel face discrimination. Hardliners try to silence civil rights groups.
The Israel we love may be changing into a place we would no longer recognize. Israel's founders intended to build a society based on the Jewish commitment to freedom and social justice.
The good news is that Israelis are mobilizing to meet these challenges. Be a part of the fight by making your voice heard. Stand in support of Israelis fighting for equality and democracy in Israel.
I care about Israel.
I want Israel to be a society that lives up to democratic norms and to the values of the Jewish tradition.
That's why I'm concerned about reports that extremists are striving to undermine the rights of women, Arab citizens of Israel, immigrants and refugees.
I stand with Israeli social change advocates working to make Israel more just, equal, and democratic.
