Bunnies, and Ducklings, and Chicks, Don't Buy...For Easter!

Every yr, 1,000's of baby bunnies, ducklings, and chicks are bought. Unfortunately, most die within the first few days, wks, and months, from mishandling, neglect, or from being abandoned in parks, backyards, or shelters. The majority of them are bought during the months of March and April as Easter gifts. Pet and Feed stores are even going as far as dyeing these animals pastel colors to attract people to buy them, treating these helpless, living beings as novelty items.
As well as raising awareness against the impulse buying of these animals, we're also presenting a bill request to our state legislature to prevent the purchase of ducklings and chicks to be sold individually, which would ultimately reduce, and even eliminate the number of neglected, abandoned, and killed animals. Bunnies are not included in the bill request, as we believe, they make great house pets.
