SRI LANKA: STOP CAPTURING WILD ELEPHANTS, CREATE SAFE NATIONAL PARKS, STOP DESTROYING THEIR LAND, RELEASE THE TWO WILD ELEPHANTS BACK IN NATURE, NO TEMPLE OR ZOO!

Sri Lanka's, once so great land, is slowly being destroyed more and more for plantations of palm oil and for human activities. Wildlife is at the brink of extinction when this doesn't stop. After a two days operation, apparantly lead by the airforce two wild young tuskers were captured from the wild, as they were assumed to be "problem" animals. The real PROBLEM however is, that humans are invading their land and steal it, leaving the animals nowhere to go. These two captured elephants are aged 15 and 18 years! They say these animals are going to be released into a safer area. But... where is that safer area and what do they mean by that? No way we can agree with a translocation to a temple or to a zoo or to a training centre where they will be used in tourist industry.
Sri Lanka has to STOP NOW the destruction of their land and forests. They need to create large reserves and national parks under protection of forest officials where their unique wildlife can roam free and live in peace, while they attract tourists and photographers. They have to start a program to protect their elephants, before it will be too late.
