After a term marked with scandal after scandal, earning the title of the "first British prime minister to be charged with a crime while in office," a wave of resignations from his own cabinet, and over two thirds of his country holding the opinion he should leave office, Boris Johnson has announced his resignation as the United Kingdom's prime minister.
But Johnson plans to stay on as a "caretaker PM", acting as an interim prime minister until his successor is chosen – a transparent display of his shamelessness and hunger for power knowing no bounds.
Demand that Boris Johnson step down from his duties IMMEDIATELY, and ask that he be replaced by a different caretaker PM.
The corruption, misconduct, and lack of leadership in Johnson's government have been going on far before this final straw that prompted mass resignations – sexual assault allegations against conservative member of Parliament Chris Pincher, and the suggestion that Johnson may have known of said allegations.
There is no excuse for keeping such a corrupt leader and his government in power any longer. Sign the petition calling on Boris Johnson to step away without delay, not serving as an interim PM, and ask that Sir Graham Brady, the Chair of the 1922 Committee, choose a caretaker PM to replace him.
