On January 30, 2026, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) released "three million pages, 180,000 images and 2,000 videos" of the files on Jeffrey Epstein -- convicted sex offender and alleged head of a
massive, horrific sex trafficking operation of children and young women, the true breadth of which is still unknown.
Within these files, horrendous
crimes are alleged:
"sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, rape, sex trafficking, slavery, torture, and forced disappearance of women and children." Notably
missing from these files -- or better put, brazenly redacted by the DOJ -- are many, many names of the powerful people who were connected to, working with, partying with, and benefiting from Jeffrey Epstein and his
twisted, torturous world of sexual exploitation and violence. In juxtaposition, many victims' names and personal information were revealed in the files, leaving us asking the question: who is the DOJ really protecting here?
The answer is some of the most powerful, influential people in the country and
around the world who were part of Epstein's circle.
Sign the petition and demand that Volker Türk, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, conduct an investigation into the Epstein Files!Of the names that are not redacted,
many hold positions of immense power. President Donald Trump is mentioned thousands of times,
allegedly millions of times in the unredacted files. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was stripped of his title as Prince due to his relationship with Epstein. Billionaires Elon Musk and Richard Branson. Bill Clinton. Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon. Former British Ambassador to the U.S. Peter Mandelson. The crown princess of Norway. A French minister of culture. A Slovakian foreign minister. Across the world, powerful people aligned themselves with sex trafficking kingpin Jeffrey Epstein -- and we deserve to know exactly what crimes were committed, and by who.
As of the time of this writing, no news outlet or organization has fully read or analyzed the entirety of the Epstein files -- combing through the millions of documents will still take weeks yet. But what we do know, from the files and from victims' accounts, is that
Jeffrey Epstein spent years creating spaces and situations in which rich, powerful people like himself could sexually exploit children and women. The accounts from victims are truly devastating. Approached by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, his main coconspirator, victims were offered money, friendship, and comfort. Victims were taught to "massage" Epstein, who would then coerce them into sex acts, sometimes with Maxwell present.
Victims allege that Epstein would rape them, and share them with friends. Many, many of these victims were children -- as young as 14. Notably, victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre accused Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor of sexually assaulting her as a teen multiple times.
Giuffre's accounts of Epstein's island in the Caribbean, where many victims were brought and sexually assaulted, are harrowing. In one account, she was
brutally raped by a man she was trafficked to, someone she describes as "the Prime Minister," who she said found pleasure and joy in her fear and pain. In her memoir, Giuffre wrote that
she was terrified she would "die a sex slave."Tragically, Giuffre died by suicide in 2025. She was only 41 years old.
According to some victims, as of September 2025, the DOJ had not contacted them in relation to the Epstein files investigation.
In a DOJ
press briefing on the same day as the files were released, while detailing what was and wasn't released, a spokesperson mentioned that "anything that depicts or contain images of
death, physical abuse, or injury [were] also not produced" -- meaning these things were withheld, but do exist.
There have been many, many allegations of crimes beyond what is detailed here. For example, a tip about
bodies being buried at Epstein's New Mexico ranch is
currently under investigation -- an email alleged that two "foreign girls" were
strangled and killed during sex acts.Despite the breadth of Jeffrey Epstein's circle, the seriousness of the crimes committed within it, and the amount of uninvestigated tips of furhter crimes, there have been no prosecutions brought other than that of Epstein and his coconspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving 20 years behind bars.
We must demand actual answers and accountability. The United States DOJ has so far failed Epstein's victims, and the world, by protecting the powerful people involved in this long story of violent, criminal exploitation and abuse of minors and young women.
But luckily, other countries around the world are stepping up, launching their own investigations. These include:
Poland, Latvia, Lithuania,
Norway, and
France, with more joining the list regularly.
Yet even that is not enough.
This was a global criminal network targeting children - so it needs to be scrutinized on a global level, and not only by individual countries.
That's why we're asking the United Nations to step in and begin its own independent investigation. Jeffrey Epstein's crimes and community span across the globe, and it's time that a global organization finds answers and justice for the countless victims.
