Tell New York Governor Kathy Hochul to Support Medical Aid in Dying

As Gov. Hochul takes over leadership in the midst of an expanding new wave of the pandemic and the resulting economic uncertainty, she's going to have a lot on her plate for weekly — and likely months — to come.

We're going to need to get loud to get her attention, and we need to seize this moment.

Our unwavering commitment to ensuring that New Yorkers facing a terminal illness have access to the full range of options for care at the end of life, including medical aid in dying, continues.

Join us today, and add your name to a petition we'll deliver to Gov. Hochul. Make sure she prioritizes legalizing a peaceful death for terminally ill New Yorkers who are suffering.

Dear Gov. Hochul,

I believe that New Yorkers should have the same comprehensive end-of-life care options that 1 in 5 people living in the United States now have, including our neighbors in New Jersey and Vermont.

I support giving dying New Yorkers the option of medical aid in dying.

This compassionate legislation would allow a terminally ill, mentally capable adult to request and receive a prescription medication they can take at a time they choose to avoid needless suffering and die peacefully in their sleep.
