The Trump administration is currently withholding nearly $7 billion in approved federal education funds – including $1.3 billion for 21st Century Learning Centers (CCLC).
Congress passed this funding with bipartisan support back in March, and the President signed it into law. Yet state education agencies are now being told that 21st CCLC funding won't be provided.
These programs improve not only students' school attendance and academic achievement, but family stability and community safety.
