Pass South Carolina's Energy Freedom Act

The Energy Freedom Act will clear the way for more South Carolina families, schools, churches and businesses to go solar and save on our energy bills without needless restrictions, red-tape or high fees. And by clearing the way for more investment in affordable local clean energy infrastructure, the bill will help will lower energy costs for families and businesses and create more good jobs in the state's growing solar workforce.

Thousands of South Carolinians have made calls and sent emails, urging state leaders to clear the way for families, churches, schools and businesses to go solar if they so choose. Thanks to solar supporters like you, the Energy Freedom Act sailed through the South Carolina House in an eye-popping unanimous vote -- and now we need to get it across the finish line in the Senate.

Urge your State Senator to VOTE YES on solar savings, local jobs and a brighter energy future for South Carolina.

I'm a voter in your district, and I urge you to vote YES on the South Carolina Energy Freedom Act (H.3659), which has passed the House by a UNANIMOUS vote - 110 to 0.


The Energy Freedom Act will clear the way for more South Carolina families, schools, churches and businesses to go solar and save on our energy bills without needless restrictions, red-tape or high fees. And by clearing the way for all more private investment in affordable local clean energy infrastructure, this bill will help will lower energy costs for all consumers and create more good jobs in the state's solar workforce, which already employs nearly 3,000 South Carolinians.


Recent statewide polling conducted by Benchmark Research, a South Carolina polling firm, shows statistically unanimous voter support (95%) for giving utility customers the choice to install solar panels on their homes and businesses to reduce reliance on their utility. Please pass the Energy Freedom Act.
