Support America's Chinatowns

Among the oldest remaining immigrant enclaves in the country, Chinatowns are still home to hundreds of thousands of residents, workers, mom-and-pop businesses, and legacy institutions. The rich history, inclusive economy, and social and spiritual value of Chinatowns are an invaluable part of the American story. But of 84 historic Chinatowns identified nationwide, less than half still exist today. Chinatowns are actively fighting development pressure, cultural erasure, displacement, inequitable planning practices, pandemic-related closures, and an alarming rise in xenophobia and anti-Asian sentiment.

Together, we can mobilize preservation action to support America's Chinatowns for future generations. Sign our petition today to commit to the cultural preservation of America's Chinatowns for future generations, so their vibrant pasts can remain at the heart of their thriving and prosperous futures.
