Cyanide Bombs Are Harming Pets, Wildlife, and People. It's Time Congress Finally Put a Stop to This Danger.

Family dogs. Endangered wolves. Bald eagles. Coyotes. Foxes. These are just a few of the countless animals that have suffered and died because of M-44 "cyanide bombs" – devices that explode a deadly cloud of poison into the air when triggered. Deployed by the U.S. government with the intention of killing predators, these traps are indiscriminate and cruel. And they're still being used today on public lands. It's time for that to end.

Sign the petition to urge Congress to pass Canyon's Law, which would ban M-44 cyanide bombs from all public lands and save the lives of beloved pets and precious wildlife!

These bombs don't just threaten animals. Since 1984, at least 42 people have accidentally triggered M-44s. In Idaho, 14-year-old Canyon Mansfield was walking his dog Kasey when he unknowingly set one off. Kasey died in agony. Canyon was poisoned and barely survived. A Utah man exposed to an M-44 in 2003 later died due to cyanide poisoning.

But it's animals who are the primary victims. In just two years, over 10,000 animals have been killed by M-44s – including endangered species and more than 50 documented family dogs. Wildlife Services' own records admit that many of these deaths were not the intended targets. And whistleblowers warn that most incidents go unreported.

Even though the Bureau of Land Management banned M-44s from its land in 2023, they're still allowed on public lands managed by other agencies. That means these brutal, outdated, and dangerous devices are still a threat – especially to animals who can't recognize them for the deadly traps they are.

Sign the petition and tell Congress: enough is enough. Ban M-44 cyanide bombs from all public lands by passing Canyon's Law.
