Institutionalized racism within Major League Baseball is unacceptable. The Cleveland Indians' mascot of "Chief Wahoo" is a degrading charicature of Native Americans.
We, the undersigned, refuse to allow this racism to continue. No city-wide "tradition" has the right to mock and make light of any human's struggle.
The Cleveland Indians' mascot and name must be changed to reflect a society in which racism is not tolerated.
