No One Should Lose Their Home for Escaping Abuse

The reality is stark: more than a third of all domestic violence victims become unhoused at some point in their lifetimes.

Survivors face housing instability, and the associated financial and emotional toll of this struggle is one more completely unnecessary burden. At the National Domestic Violence Hotline, we believe that NO ONE should face such hardship.

We're calling on lawmakers in Congress to improve housing protections for survivors, by expanding emergency shelter access, passing anti-discrimination laws, and expanding early lease termination rights. There are commonsense, practical measures we can take RIGHT NOW to make sure that domestic violence survivors never have to experience housing insecurity.

Can you sign today, and demand Congress do more to keep domestic violence survivors safe from housing instability?
