I Will Stand and Fight For Animals!

In just a few short weeks, we've seen animal protection issues under attack in the new Congress and administration.

In a shocking move, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) abruptly purged its website of documents and records related to enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act and Horse Protection Act, essentially covering for puppy mills, roadside zoos, and other animal abusers.

Due to bureaucratic bumbling, the anti-horse soring rule, which strengthened the Horse Protection Act in order to end the cruel practice of soring, has been withdrawn.

And just last week, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to overturn a rule that prohibits killing wolf pups in their dens, spotting grizzly bears from aircraft and then shooting them after landing, and other cruel forms of trophy hunting on Alaska's national wildlife refuges.

The Humane Society Legislative Fund and our supporters have been there at every turn, standing up for animals and calling out the politicians who want to harm animals. But we can't do it alone.

If the first few weeks are any indication, we need to redouble our efforts to protect animals from cruelty and abuse. It's going to take all of us standing together to keep shining a light on this new administration and Congress' inhumane plans and holding them accountable.

Animals can't speak for themselves – will you be their voice? Sign today and say you will stand with us to fight for animals!
