No Child Should Lose Their Life To War. Afghan Children Deserve Peace!
The August 26th bombing at the Kabul airport has resulted in horrific injuries and loss of life — including children.Sign PetitionSign Petition
We are devastated by the significant loss of life at Kabul airport, where dozens of Afghan families were killed alongside at least twelve United States military personnel.
For children and their families to have been harmed just as they were trying to make their way out of the country, to a new life, is devastating.
No child should ever lose their lives to war; all efforts must be made to ensure that they do not ever become collateral damage.
That's why Save the Children is calling for a cease in violence and protection of civilians, especially children — respecting their rights under international humanitarian law. This devastating loss also underscores the need to urgently expedite the processing of visas for those Afghans looking to flee, in addition to ensuring the United States and other governments to step up efforts to welcome them.
Sign and stand with Save the Children to declare that Afghan children deserve peace and that every effort should be made to ensure future generations can grow up in a country free of the fear of violence, death, and injury.
