COVID-19 continues to devastate lives and economies here at home and around the world. Half a billion people are likely to be pushed into poverty and up to 12,000 people could die each day from hunger caused by the economic fallout from the pandemic. More than 210,000 Americans have lost their lives, and many Americans are worried about safely casting their ballot this election. Yet, the Senate has failed to take meaningful action to provide economic support to those struggling or life-saving funding to fight COVID-19.
This is our last chance before the election: We must demand they take urgent action to better protect people living in poverty, working people, and our right to vote.
The House of Representatives has already passed crucial legislation to help those most affected by the pandemic. But the Senate has failed to take appropriate action so far, so we must demand they take action before the election.
Join us and tell the Senate to:
- Provide life-saving foreign aid to fight COVID-19 and address increasing hunger among the most vulnerable people around the world
- Protect workers, not corporations, by implementing commonsense safety standards and rejecting efforts to limit corporate liability in cases related to COVID-19
- Guarantee safe and fair elections in November by providing urgent funding to help protect the vote
